If I were to make a fangame of pokemon, without having any of my real data out in the internet, what would a Cease and Desist letter even do to me?
Sprites would be remade by me (pic related I am art) and the code would be completely remade in a different game engine.
Other than the names, there is nothing that nintendo or gamefreak can do about it. And even so, the names have been used everywhere and not been taken down like Pokemon Black and Blue.
I wouldn't profit out of it other than donations from fans, so what am I doing wrong?
