So a bunch of my buddies are planning a big pokémon tournament for when we go underway. We're starting out with Leaf Green and Fire Red.
The rules are:
-No cheating to raise pokémon levels, get shinies, mess with ivs/nature, etc
-No legendaries for pvp battles
-No items in pvp battles
-Can use multiple instances of a game to access trade evolutions, game exclusives, etc
-Can only use pokémon that are legitimately caught in the game. No cheating to get pokémon from another Gen that can't be caught with the nat dex

So I basically have to grind through the game and start breeding for top tier pokémon. And these guys are getting intense into this. I haven't played since Emerald and I never really cared about stats.

So what do you all recommend for a PVP team? Any tips as far as breeding goes?
