I love the variety it offers. No two playthroughs are ever the same. I like the designs, I like the main idea of the series, and I do actually like the challenges that push you to get stronger. I like the battle system and what it has to offer tactically, and I like the personalization that comes from training. I love training. It's kind of relaxing when you have enough of a memory to remember which Pokémon you're on for EV training. I love shinies, especially random encounters. I love the interactions I can have with other people either online or in real life due to Pokémon. I love completing something after hours of work, and I haven't really been good at much throughout my life except for video games and driving. I like the locations it depicts. All of them. I love the music; for such a graphically simple game it is out of place to have such a good OST. I like how it's familiar to me. It's something I know and can control. It's comforting.
I can't say something like this about many other games, only CS and MOTHER 3 for impacting my life either directly or in the way I think. The way of Pokémon is deep.
