I totally get why they did it. But it was actually that news that caused me to lose interest in that game. I was planning a Ground-team run to give me extra challenge, but without access to abilities like Sturdy or Sand Rush or Sheer Force or items like Thick Club it seemed pretty pointless. There wouldn't be a way to help offset my weaknesses.
