Fair enough. Its just that Scorbunny and Sobble seem extremely specialized in their stat distribution compared to other starters. It almost feels like GameFreak is trying their darndest to make them competively viable. I don't mind though because I love Scorbunny and like Sobble.

Still not sure that's actually an accurate calculation
So far, starters in every gen have never had a BST higher than 320, with alola being the 1st gen where all 3 have 320. Every other gen has 318 at most, and the distribution between BSTs looks like this
>kanto: 309, 314 and 318
>johto: same as kanto
>hoenn: 310 for all 3
>sinnoh: 309, 314, 318
>unova: 308 for all 3
>kalos: 307, 313 and 314
>alola: 320 for all 3
Suddenly Galar starters jump to 330/1 ? Sounds unlikely and weird, but it's not impossible I guess

Serp is insane. Chesnaught didn't get dead last and is far better than delphox. The owl was only decent for baton pass but even then there were better options and is now only used in NU because roost is better than synthesis

Remember that the 7th Gen Trio were already being finalized back when Gen 6 was coming out before the popularity of Greninja blew up, and then they could easily see how much less popular the new starters were, and the fucking memedog even with a special form were because they weren't viable.

Grookey looks like it will be slow and bulky with high hp. Weird that sobble has 1 point higher speed than scorbunny though. But the speed stats could jump drastically for scorbunny and sobble could either drop speed or just stay around the same speed.

Those base stats are wrong. We're never getting a starter with base 90+ attack. Those Pokemon likely have EVs or IVs, and/or their base stats for the demo have been altered so that the demo will be easier to clear.

It's not a fully spy theme, especially when it sits in a meditation pose. It might be a Water/Psychic predator that can camouflage it's self, but not a spy though.
