i hope we get a fan remake before GF even dare touch it
S/M as a base and add some of the GOOD stuff LGPE had (no random encounter garbage)

someone was doing a X/Y-styled remake of Ruby but didn't finish it on time unfortunately

Hot Take, why even remake gen 5 when it's not even outdated compared to gen 4' s engine. It's the worst selling region compared to gen 4's so they will definitely be remaking gen 4 in some way to cash in on nostalgia that has been building ever since "sinnoh confirmed". If gen 4 gets remaked, it might be the last generation being remade for a long while.
