Every time you transfer over Pokemon from one gen to another they are copied, deleted, and pasted effectively making them brand new Pokémon every time
Every time a change is made to your Pokemon, like a new move or a level, the new version of the Pokemon is pasted over the old one while saving the game (overwriting progress)
Every time you PKhex and old Pokemon or a save file you’re effectively doing the exact same thing
No one on the planet has “10 year old Pokemon”
