Press shot with fake levels, or does it mean the wild area can have some high level wild 'mons in it? Maybe during extreme weather or something?

The grass looks awful, the trees look awful, the ground texture could be a lot better, but everything else looks okay to me. Also the trainer really looks shooped in.

As someone who fucking despises this game and has no intention of getting it, I kind of like the minimalist UI. If the graphics were actually good then the UI would look great since it doesn’t get in the way of the visuals.

I don't think anyone's complaining about the UI.
I personally dislike minimalism but the UI isn't particularly bad. It's the (literally everything else in the game) that's the problem.

Why do people care if devs put soul or not into a game? There's two goals, make it fun and make money. There's never been a unfun Pokemon games, except the Mystery Dungeons, but they're getting money. Good on GameFreak for gaining money with as little work as possible. This. Idiots are fooled by marketing time and time again. They purposely choose the best looking parts of the game to show of, and manipulate clips to fool idiots into buying it. It’s not always representative of the whole game, just what the producers think are the most tempting to the fan base. They are always fooled. Even the treehouse route is planned, so they wanted you to see that tree, they thought it was good enough to show off. Imagine what they thought wasn’t good enough to show off.

Same with xenoblade for me, the only technical "flaw" are how the camera angles in serious cutscenes were doing the emotions a disservice but besides a minor giggle fit, the writing did more than carry its own weight

XY had positive vibes even though it was kind of crappy because we still had hope for the next 3D Pokemon game. Then ORAS was underwhelming and the board got negative, followed by a brief upswing with pre-SM hype, followed by the crash of the board with SM. USM, LGPE and all this Galar crap have only solidified everyone’s hatred. These developers don’t care anymore. I miss XY days. The board was hopping with activity from PSS threads and giveaway threads, it was a magical time. XY sucked but it was the last good thing Pokemon had before ORAS and to a much greater extent SM killed Pokemon hype for good. Now until something good happens, still waiting on that, everyone will be bitter unless they’re an ignorant shill virtue signaling for a company that would sell your scrotum for 25c on the black market if they would get a 1% commission. I’ve never seen developers care less about their fans, even people like EA. I would eat a log of shit it GF-HQ burnt down and fucking EA got Pokemon, fucking anyone else.

Yeah if the game had the scale and personality of the gamecube RPGs and PBR I'd be happy. I want something that actually seems like it was made with the more powerful hardware in mind. The best they could come up with was enlarging existing pokemon.

Did you live under a rock or only play Pokemon games this entire time? There are several games on Switch that look much better. Xenoblade Chronicles, BoTW, Mario Odyssey... Pokemon looks very bland in comparison.

If you're paying for it at all, you might as well just go for the group one even as a single since it costs less than 2.

Switch is region free so there's really no reason not to have at least an account for each major region - JP, PAL, and NA.

I already had 6 active accounts anyway for different Banks so the extra 2 made it work. Though to be fair I don't intend to re-up at this point. I gave them a year and time's almost up to actually fix the service.

And I don't mean adding what should have been VC games to a shitty rental service, but having ALL games able to backup, for example.
