The outward shape of regions doesn't matter. The layout of the dungeons within a region is what matters. Kanto to Kalos all did that right, Alola dropped the ball.

Literally just text. WR speedrun of BW is 3 hours, SM is 5. Only gen 7 has a problem with pointless slow animations in cutscenes.

There is literally no way your perception wasn't influenced by the gen number alone. You'd be able to find at least one you liked if were numbered something other than 5.
Your subconscious thought process is probably as follows:
>gen5 has ice cream
>ice cream bad
>therefore gen5 bad
>therefore every other monster in gen5 is ice cream and, in turn, bad
>You couldn't transfer old mons into Unova!
Yes, you could. They were literally programmed for use in BW.
