Hey /vp/ I posted about this before and got a lot of great feedback. I'm trying to make a pikaclone of a beaver with a seismometer theme. Could I get some opinions for colors or any other critiques please?

Looks too much like a cartoon beaver instead of a Pokemon. Maybe give him some stripes on his torso. Also possibly shorten the arms

I usually don't like clutter on designs but I always thought Pikachu looked cuter with the underbelly so I gave him one

Looks perfect. Don't go above 3 colors and remember color theory when coloring him and he won't look overdesigned.

It's a bit inconsistent in your illustrations- is that tail vertical like Pikachu's or horizontal like a regular beaver?

If it were me, I'd put the lightningy zigzags lower down on the thin base and left the rest of the tail fairly flat. But that's mostly so it's easier to draw it at different angles.
