What if it needs to hold a megastone to stay in that form (even if you don't megaevolve it)? Or make its HP go red when loses the shadow form because his body can't take that much power?

You would need either a mixed tank sacrifice to stall it out or something that can outspeed it and ko it. By default it'll make 99% of pokemon unviable unless it needs one turn to transform without attacking

Did they actually say that? I thought the whole point of the battle sims is to follow the exact rules of each pokemon game and not just do anything they want like give Slaking huge power or nerf Garchomp's stats

They did, no content will be cut. I guess they will have the official formats AND then a few separated formats with all pokemon, megas, Z moves, etc. You can play exactly like in the legal system but if you actually like fun you can have what GF scrapped
