Fire Emblem is a weird case since it already did a pretty decent leap to consoles. (every animation in Radiant Dawn is leagues better than any of the 3ds games despite looking a little stiff overall.)

They're not even struggling to do so, they're just unwilling to delay unlike so many others.

Just this year 4 bigger name games I'm aware of have been delayed in some way.

>Shovel Knight DLC, delaying the physical copies for every platform as well because they want a simultaneous release for everything and want the DLC on the physical copies which also delays Amiibo related to it (not unlike Pokémon it's not just the games, in other words, and for a much smaller company who is less likely to be okay for taking a delay on it)

>Cuphead DLC, delaying physical copies for everything as well because they want the DLC on them

>Metroid Prime 4, entirely scrapped and sent off to the original devs because what they had wasn't working out and they wanted better for players

>Animal Crossing, delayed because they didn't want to release an incomplete game

And a slew of others on the Switch alone have been. Including the aforementioned BotW which, of course, was delayed so goddamned much that the series ended up basically skipping the Wii U.

Game Freak knew at one time that delays were the right way, but thanks to Masuda's "yearly and I don't care about quality to be modern" philosophy we're fucked.

Do you think something as big as Pokemon could afford a delay, or is Pokemon big enough that a delay would not be of much negative consequence?
I guess what it boils down to is whether or not they would lose sales from delaying so that the game can be improved, or just try to finish it and hope that they won't lose too many sales of future releases.

Pokemon games will always succeed, but some are more successful than others. The question is, from Nintendo and GF's perspective, would delaying or finishing now seem like a better idea. It depends on whether the data is in the cartridge at all or not.
It's much harder to patch if it isn't, especially when it comes to online verification etc.

Lots of redditors have been waiting to break free for a long time since it turned into a twitter-like hivemind and echo chamber haven. Now with Reddit pushing their ads everywhere and companies making accounts pretending to be normal people buying upvotes for their ad posts and downvotes to push away other content that doesn't suit them and people taking notice, many have said they wanted to move to other sites. Reddit is now pushing its new design without CSS to implement subreddit subscription with badges and emotes, both which have been free to use with CSS (user flairs and so on). Twitter and Reddit are nothing more than ad sites now where no one can have a critical or controversial opinion. I haven't posted to Reddit for a long time now, but I occasionally lurk there since so many news articles are now getting their news from Reddit for some reason.

You'll see many more people migrating over to 4chan in the coming months, probably when old reddit is completely removed.

r/pokemon is also generally just boring when it's not autistically flipping out like this. Pretty much from the release of SuMo onwards it devolved into "I drew shiny Espeon!" or some other variant on arts n' crafts.

/vp/ is as much of a retarded echo chamber but at least it can have actual discussion on the games. The Gen 1 beta assets were barely a blip on reddit but /vp/ actually talked about it.
