I hate to admit it but Reddit next to Twitter is atm one of the main sources of information for many gamers and seeing them fighting against Game Freak is good, not even Joe can get to them.
But so far it's only r/Pokémon being vocal, r/Games, r/gaming, r/NintendoSwitch and r/Nintendo are full off shills that make posts like "People are STILL MAD about that?" or "It won't matter, people don't care" all the time and any news link to an article stating facts about SwSh is getting downvoted, especially on r/NintendoSwitch where you'd be lucky if any post about the whole netional dex cut gets 90% or more upvote/downvote ratio.
Reddit is being manipulated by advertising firms selling "good comments" and upvotes for their ads disguised as posts (no, I don't mean the promotion ones) as well as downvotes for unwanted posts that damage brands, etc.. I can see Reddit being full of paid shill posts a month before and days leading up to the release, especially on r/gaming.
