I played through it a couple of times.
It's surpring how much content there is with the side stories you unlock after you complete the game.
Grinding levels and unlocking new characters was always stressful and boring for me though.
Music is absolutely fantastic. I listen to the soundtrack often. (There's lots of good remixes on YouTube.)
Took me several years to realize it was a psuedo-crossover with the Warriors series, though.

I love it. The only thing I was never able to do is get a perfect match for all the trainers because I could never manage to get a few of the guys who need swarm pokemon on my team and trigger the swarm pokemon to appear.
If they ever make a similar game in the future I hope they avoid that because it sucked. Also the dragon pokemon need to use Twister or some new move instead of Dragon Rage.

It's fun for the duration of the main campaign, post-game feels tedious due to how easy it's to beat everyone
Kingdom management needs more depth, the facilities upgrades are meaningless and you can do without
Also give pokemon more than 1 move

There are codes to trigger the swarms, you can use them once per story, IIRC.

Better yet there's a code generator for swarms so you don't have to keep changing ar codes and you can even get an AR code that resets the in game code count
