>>39300117>If I make a hack of Super Mario Bros with an extra level added should I be applauded for making a brilliant game better than the great Super Mario BrosBut that's not a proper analogy, you fucking retard.
Emerald and Platinum both add notable QoL improvements that effect the entire game, both have moderately altered plotlines.
Why should I just throw both games away and pretend they don't exist for the sole reason that "they're enhanced remakes and not sequels"?
I mean, yeah, I don't like enhanced remakes. I think they're lame and a backstabbing move to the people who wanna buy the new generation when it comes out, and it's just a means to avoid having to delay the game.
If you made a hack of a game, improved flaws people found with the original, added some difficulty, added some extra content here and there, tweaked the story a bit to be more interesting, and added a massive amount of endgame content, I would say that, yes, that hack deserves to be valued for its own merits aside from the original. It's retarded to pretend it doesn't exist because it's not its own original thing.
