His ace is literally an Alolan Persian, which isn’t used by any other trainer in Alola. He and Acerola have a familial bond, she takes care of whatever business he doesn’t want to, and he knows just as much about Alolan history as she does. They even use opposite types. If it’s not stated somewhere it’s implied to the biggest degree.

I am curious what Nanus relation to Giovanni is. I have a feeling it won't be explained but it's fun to think about. I can't really imagine Nanu being ex-Rocket but I could kind of see him as a punk kid getting into trouble with little Gio. That however doesn't really make sense as Giovanni was from a well off family, as his mother was head Rocket, why would he be a street urchin?

Honestly it could be an insane amount of things, hell they could have just been poker buddies. I wonder if Silver would get along with Acerola.
