A disclaimed: this thread is not intended to flame or insult gen 5, in fact I really love the original b/w and think the generation as a whole is one of the best

but I've never been able to sit down and beat this game right here. I boot up a new challenge mode game and as soon as you're on the mainland it feels like the pace grinds to a halt and the game has so little direction that I might as well be playing gen 2 kanto.
What do you anons like about this game? How to you stomach the pacing and work up the motivation to actually complete the game? I have reached Opelucid city 3 times now, but never manage to push on to the pokemon league.
I really want to enjoy these games, I hear people praising them for their endgame and stuff, so I want some encouragement to actually reach that point.
