Gigantamaxing is just mega evolution. They cut out mega evolution purely because they conflicted.

Also, it took me 10 minutes to realize that any of the new mons people were posting were actually genuine. I passed off every single one as being a Fakemon until I saw the trailer.

I would love it as a concept if we could also still get megas, but could only use one or the other on a team. It's a trade off; one pokemon gets stronger for the whole battle, or one pokemon gets even stronger still for three turns. That's a fun idea for different strategies and for genuinely making more pokemon "viable," too.

Is equally unbalanced, if not worst. Remember these guys have no itens to gigantamax, while megas uncapable of using itens and play by everyone's play rules. This game will have everyone using the same mons dynamaxing all over again (actually gigantamaxing, because dynamax looks like shit without those bonuses)

it's annoying enough that to get a pokemon to gigantomax you have to find one capable of it by defeating raid battles until you happen across one of the proper species, hope you catch it, and then hope it can use the new form and not just dynamax.

Regular Dynamax moves have bonuses too dumbass. The regular Water max move adds rain while The Drednaw specific one adds rocks. You don't necessarily always want the rocks so it's not a straight upgrade.

Why can't GF just drop this generational gimmick thing already? Mechanically, megas were not great and dynamaxing is arguably better. In every other way, megas are better; they look better, they're somehow less restricted and they existed first.

Auto Stealth Rock for free on top of dealing a shitton of damage is broken as fuck. Even if Dreadnaw is shitty, it will be used a lot only for that

Why the fuck would I want Rain if it's not beneficial to my team dumbass

If I have to pick between having Rain to boost my attacks that will be enough to immediately remove a threat or save one of my own Pokemon from a fire attack that's obviously better than setting up some rocks that might not even end up mattering.

That's the point. Now you might not want to use your Dynamaxxed Water move because it could be detrimental to your team, while Drednaw can spam its Gigantomaxxed Z-Hydropump that sets Stealth Rock for free.

Tell me how the later one is balanced

Because you might already have rocks up you retard.
Having giganto dred be your rocks setter is fucking retarded because they can just be defogged/spun after that.
This means that you will have another rocks setter so potentially have rocks up already and therefor the move has no secondary affect.
If you are building with a dynamax that gives you rain you aren't going to make it so that rain is a large detriment to your team and worst case scenario it boosts one mons stabs by 50% which is still great.
