>>39326915Oh exactly. SS will be the first set of mainline games I skip (or second if you incorrectly count LGPE as mainline). If someone who has played this series for 20 years, and buys the yearly releases, and is the kind of fan who actually pays to go to VGC events is willing to skip a set of games, it's a big problem, because someone like me spends an order of magnitude more on Pokemon than someone who buys one game every console, not even every gen, and then does nothing with it. I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the money they save by cutting corners won't be more than they'd make by making games long term fans actually want.
