It's nonsense, especially with how little work realistically goes into just putting them into the game. If they were modeling and animating every pokemon from scratch, that's one thing, but again, we're still using those same models and animations from six years ago.

At times it practically feels like they go out of their way to disrupt any semblance of balance in Pokemon. No attempt is made to make the meta or the main game balanced at all.
