Gigamax Drednaw looks pretty cool. Few more changes and it'd work wonderfully as an actual evolution.

but this is gamefreak, so gigamax will be gone next gen

I guess you can just choose if you want a normal giant Drednaw with a useful ability or Giantmaxed Drednaw with no ability, which could maybe be a little cool competitively keeping your opponent guessing?

I think Megas are fun to use but Gigantamaxing looks like a decent replacement and it gives you an incentive to participate in raid battles.
I can't seem to understand why people are so upset over it

Anon, you cannot be serious here. No reason to use Mega Mawile? Mega Beedrill? Mega Bannet??
Gigantamax is significantly worse in so many ways.Just the way you get them is worse. The fact that you can't even use them outside certain scenarios.
