Can we just talk about how fucking boring and ugly this UI is? It looks so flat and jfc that health bar. Just a straight green block. Think back to the BW UI and how sleek it looked.

Am I alone on this?

Sword and Shield's UI is utter fucking garbage to be honest it looks like something they did on Adobe Photoshop trial version 30 minutes before showing gameplay.

Let's Go Eevee/Pikachu's UI had way more soul and they're literally the worst games in the entire franchise

The only problem is that most developers barely include style with them, making them look bland.
The Wipeout series I feel is a good example of minimalism (or at least flat design) done right.

this honestly like a WIP with stand in fonts and colours though. Doesn't really fit with the style of the rest of the game too or even the sport theme. I don't get why they didn't go for a sportscast look. The bbc sport stuff in the UK is pretty simple but its not this dull. doesn't take up half the screen either
