>>39356126>animationThere's certainly a mixed bag, but overall the actual new animations for both the Pokemon and characters beyond just tweening characters around has been lively and smooth.
And I do specify new animation. The recycled pokemon and NPC animations are still a problem for sure.
>will be a hallway as alwaysExcept we've outright seen how that's not the case in the trailers already. The Red CIty has mulitple areas and even tiers to the city. Same goes for the Dragon City based on the one shot we got of it. And the smaller towns are small, but still very diversified.
>BW & SMGood choices, those are the two I consider to be the most interesting story-wise that we've had so far.
And again, it's because they've actually made the League be a part of the story rather than just a simple driving force. It's an event that starts at the start of the game and the major characters of the League will clearly be the major characters of the plot. There's definitely going to be some stuff about sport and corruption tied to it. May not reach the level of philosophy that BW did, but it's still way better than "i want to destroy/remake the world!" like the other games.
>DiversityHonestly? BW2. I don't know what it was about it, but when I replayed it recently I struggled to get 6 that I really wanted to use.
This game blows the others out of the water though on the diversity front simply through the Wild Area. There's so many pokemon to catch there and you get there from the start, so there's going to be tons of options right away.
