They've been making Pokemon games for over 20 years, they've made millions upon billions, and they want to make other shit. Imagine making one thing for 20 years, and having infinite resources to make whatever the fuck else you want. Would you still focus on that one thing, or would you make something new? It doesn't matter if Town sells like horseshit, it doesn't matter if SS sells like horseshit. They're selling designer clothes with fucking Pikachus on it and people are buying it up. They legitimately don't need the money of one angry person, they don't need the money of a million angry people, especially when their audience has stockholm syndrome as hard as Pokemon fans do. It's legitimately gonna sell well no matter what, and a profit will be made considering how they aren't pouring that many resources into this game.
Gamefreak does not care, and they do not have to care, and people have to accept this.
