Why? Because people are always attracted to desserts!
After you get his Badge, you can visit his shop where he sells all kinds of sweets that are essentially cheap healing items, as well as (expensive) Rare Candies and a (expensive) Whipped Dream.
Another thing he does is daily "specials". The "Cherry On Top" special, the "Vanilla" special, and the "Cotton Candy" special. You can only pick one special per day. Once you select one, you have to do a slide puzzle within a time limit to get a Cherubi (The easiest) , a Vanillite (Harder than Cherubi) , or a Swirlix (Good fuckin' luck). They all come with a handy Egg Move, and they can't be found anywhere else. So, even if they may seem shitty, you oughta get 'em. You never know when they might come in handy!
