>>39363974>do you really need those features? No, but with that logic do we need walking between routes or story? We can just go from battle to battle and beat everything with no downtime, but does that sound fun? Why can't we have fun outside of battles as well as inside of battles?
>do you need all the Pokemon? No, but I'd like MY Pokemon. My boy Torterra and Luxray, with me since Sinnoh may never see Galar because Gamefreak is being lazy.
>Do you need to bloat with [awesome and entertaining things during downtime]See 1
I will accept that GF wants to do something fresh. They do it every Generation. It just pisses me off that they try to validate their shit decisions by lying, doubling down and saying "preesu undurstando". I'd be able to take the culling if 1) it was unbiased in who gets cut, because we all know all 151 Gen 1 mons are in. Is that fair? Kantoooo has gotten enough pandering, and throwing in Charizard is the furthest thing from doing something fresh. Alternatively, 2), Id take the culling, or hell, max 350 mons if they actually put the rest of the work into the rest of the fucking game. Recycling entire models and animations is lazy. Having graphics that look worse than a scaled up 3ds game is pathetic. Having no postgame whatsoever (a la SM and USUM) and blaming it on "guh kids and their attention span" is fucking autistic.
So sure they're on a time crunch, but daddy nintendo can take the hit if a delay was decided.
>but the anime! The card game! The toys! The plushes!I'm sure their infinite number of pikachu stuffies can tide the kids over. Plus, maybe having another pokemon origins filler anime isn't a bad thing. And I'm sure the cardfags can wait.
So there's no excuse for gamefreak. Sure we could be less nitpicky but who expects quality from the top selling franchise in the world? Right?
