Glad it's just a spinoff, cool that it kinda introduced modern pokémon to old fans, but didn't personnaly like the game, I think it's just because it's based on the worse gen. Too expensive also

On one hand, I dislike that all the movies where reboot and remakes, but on the other hand, I like that the legendaries of gen7 were used in the anime story which was on eof the best idea the anime made

More Specific Z-moves, Kahunas more challenging, Totem battles more gimmicky, Ultra Beasts more important to the story and make that Silvally change types with Z-Crystals and not a useless item

I'm personally not bothered by the removal of some pokemon, if we're talking about sun and moon, I think that it's cool that it would be the last gen with all pokemon included and it would make people play it as a side game competitively maybe.

Liked them a lot as well as the legendaries because space/alien Pokemon such as Deoxys and Jirachi always interested me. Also a fan of science Pokemon like Porygon and Genesect. Its a shame UB just ended up being another scrapped gimmick, but thats how business is I guess.

Was honestly better than I was expecting since XY was a major let down for me, and I'd say its pretty high up there for me overall in comparison to all the generations.

I wasn't as involved with Pokemon communities back then, so I can't really comment on that.

Honestly doesn't bother me. I do like catching all the mons in a region, but it really doesn't matter to me if a region has all the previous mons as well. I do understand why people would hate that decision though, but I'm quite excited for Sword and Shield. The graphics, most of the new Pokemon, and the region all look nice to me, and I'll enjoy the plotline since they started putting more effort into it since Gen 5.

Another battle tower clone, nothing much else to say. At least they had my boy Colress in there.

Was on team Rowlet from day one. Although I'm not the biggest fan of Decidueye's design, the ghost-typing is my favorite type so i'm still happy that I went with Rowlet. I also liked Litten a bit in the beginning too, but hate Incineroar though he is fun to play in Smash. Never got into Popplio nor do I like its evolutions.

USUM adding more islands to the Alola region and more regional variants
Marshadow and Zeraora actually having events in the region instead of being handed to you in the Pokemon center

Should've shown more for the announcement, we literally had nothing to work with between February and May. Roothoot and Ballio won't be forgotten, though.

Pretty shit. Gamefreak needs to hire more staff and maintain better quality control but you know they won't do it. Shame that gen 8 is shaping to be the worst generation, everything about it so far has been mediocre.

Pretty wasted. Gamefreak had some good ideas but tried to teeter the line too much between novel, out there concepts and playing it safe. Ultimately, the games suffered as a result. SM were my least favorite games -- I even prefer XY to SM.

Basically USUM should've been the base games, or make it a proper S2M2. Po Town should've been a full town after Team Skull disbands.

XY had one of the best menus in the series. And for some reason the PC boxes lagged more than XY.

I can't talk shit about a game if I actually had fun, and I actually thought that US/UM were difficult at times (I was using Pokémon like Dunsparce though). The stories are fine, I don't mind a story in Pokémon games and I did like a lot of the characters this time around, especially Nanu. LGPE were cool concepts that were held back by severe casualization. A simple thing such as having an expanded Kanto dex and a Battle Tower would've made me buy it. As for Alola. I wish that we had just had US/UM inprovements in S/M. I also wish that some things weren't arbitrarily assbackwards, like the Battle Agency and even S.O.S. battles being the entirety of wild battles. Fishing was also awful in these games, despite us being on tropical islands. Dungeon design was better than X and Y, but definitely not as good as 3-5. Battle Tree is dicks and I've always hated streak systems, even BF. Overall, a solid gen, but nothing that is insane.

Even in Gen 6, the best way to ev train was through horde battles. And as you said, Alola’s pretty linear so no big deal on the map. These games are garbage but they blow fucking SM/USM out of the fucking water. Alola wasn’t even a region. Just a walking sim in between mashing A through text boxes. People are bitching about all the SS problems? Yeah sure, it looks like absolute fucking trash, but I cannot comprehend how it could be worse than SM. Still not getting it though. Moon was the last Pokémon game I bought. A shame really, it was such a big part of my life since I was in single digits in age up until my late 20s and now it’s suddenly gone. I’ve ripped gen I-V so many times since SM came out I think I have to take a few years break then rip the old games again and take another few years off, etc. but my Pokémon journey is over. Good for fixing some pokemon slightly like giving Beedrill Outrage but everything else about it is bad excluding the obvious pokemon following you, riding them, and also the GO style catching because it is called Let's GO

Most of them made some cool looking pokemon, and the beast ball is baller. Their idea doesn't bother me, if anything it's kinda fun because even the alien pokemon aren't really aliens to the pokemon world, but these buggers are.

Z-moves are okay. The really specific ones are neat.
The plot was kinda unremarkable. I played Moon, and I'm almost done with Ultra Sun. The only thing I want is they don't give Lusamine a redemption arc. Sometimes villains should just be villains.
Guzma is my boy, but Nanu's a close second. I think Gladion's a lame tryhard edgelord.
For the rest, all I've got to say is I think Alola's honestly a pretty good region, I like the art change in the anime, all starters are valid except Litten, and for that last question... sad. but atleast we still have a bunch of great games to play.

Meh. I liked Necrozma's plot because I like the concept of a Pokemon taking the role of a villain. Good chracters though, Nanu is a treasure.

I don't hate it, but it didn't feel as varied as the regions before it. I feel like the 4 islands set-up was a good opportunity to create 4 non-linear areas while treating them as different "tiers" to balance the game back at the start of each new island, but I guess GF prefers linear experiences
