They loaned GF cash to complete Red/Green in return for a spot on the credits. It went huge and since then, they pretty much did the modelling for most the console Pokémon games before finally developing their own entry into the franchise with Ranger: Shadows of Almia. It's been mostly modelling work again up to Det. Pikachu which was their game again.

Det. Pikachu gets a pass as I don't think it was supposed to get an actual western release initially (and then got co-opted for a movie deal, unless that was the whole reason it got the western release). But the days of PMD/Ranger are gone - done and dusted. TPC are hardly going to make new console spin-offs when gatchashit and GO hoover up so much more than any potential return on a console spin-off.

Creatures Inc. was founded in 1995 by Tsunekazu Ishihara with assistance from Satoru Iwata.

Game Freak was having financial difficulties at one point during Red/Green's five year development cycle and Creatures loaned them money.

Ishihara founded The Pokemon Company in 1998 (and Iwata joined Nintendo in 2000) but is still the Chairman and Representative Director at Creatures to this day.
