I always keep in mind the lost potential

SwSh had the potential to be the greatest pokemon games out of all of them, yet here they are, presenting a subpar and neutered version of what the fans want, and it really saddens me that people are still eating it up

Keeping this in mind always kills any thoughts I may ever have of wanting them

Ask yourself honestly, when was the last time you had fun with a pokemon campaign? You are an adult, and not a child, right? Can you honestly say you are having fun with these cutscene filled, hand holding, tutorial ridden, easy as fuck paint by numbers campaigns where you spend 90% of the time battling brain dead trainers on routes that never have more than 3 pokemon and will spam growl over and over against your special attacker?

Just wait for the Showdown update and have fun with that, maybe watch some let's plays until then.

Probably. New switches as far as I know are impossible, but older switches are incredibly easy to pirate on. I can't even figure out how to download podcasts on my mom's samsung galaxy, but figuring out how to hack the switch was a pretty smooth endeavor.
