This isn't in the game though. It's either OW encounters or exclamation marks. Random encounters triggered purely just by walking are gone.

Also the "randomly interrupt the player" aspect is gone so so that also makes it less RNG based.

Well, why not just play on Showdown at that point? God knows the main story is never challenging anymore, and they don't even try to have postgame or side content at all.
