What do you think about having a Grass starter based on a beetle?

Based on rhinoceros beetles mixed with cannons and tanks.

anon, I know atlas beetles have a three pronged head. the picture in op has a shield crested head. if it isn't a triceratops inspired to be a beetle without the right number of limbs, then it's based off of fucking Tundro, since it does the same horn shooting idea.

Balance is balance. Make him useful and he’ll fill a niche.
Just give good stats.
The idea that every starter has same stat spread is retarded as it doesn’t consider balancing options with typing abilities and move sets.

We need to go back to gen 2 which is the only one I can remember that kept each starter at only their base typing. I like single type mons. Fucking fight me

The design is excellent, and I would run it anyway, but for anyone else, grass/bug is too painful. It would get laughed out of all starter discussions. You'd have to give it some incredible ability, which would break that Blaze/Overgrow/Water one ability formula, or make the HA readily available. Something that makes it immune to Flying type attacks, like "Anti-Aircraft Horns".
