Why do so many animations from Refresh go unused in the games? With the resources available Gamefreak or even a fan could make a decent Stadium game or fix almost all animation related complaints about the game.
>all Pokemon have a sleeping and waking animation that could be used when they're put to sleep/woken
>eating animation that could be used for berries in-battle or for making the wild area more alive
>walking and running animations datamined from Ultra S/M could make the Pokemon walk up to each other to attack
>sick animation for when afflicted by a status effect
>multiple different happy and sad animations could be used after beating an opponent or when at low health
>all the perma-flying Pokemon like Xatu have models and animation for standing on the ground
>idle animations actually showing personality
With all the work put into each Pokemon for Refresh it's really surprising that the animations aren't used anywhere else and weren't incorporated into Sword and Shield. The work is already done so Gamefreak is simply being lazy and not programming the animations in.
Maybe a fan-game could be made one day using all these resources?
