My ex was cool with it, even hopped back on her Pokemon GO account (from the one week everyone played in 2016) to play with me on some of the big days which was really cool on her part. She even mentioned of us going half-sies on a Switch so she could play LGPE at some point.

My wife plays only a little bit. We played Sun and Moon together in 2016-2017. She was interested in Sword/Shield because she was actually born and raised in the UK (I am not a Britbong) but I have no plans on playing it after E3, so I dont see her getting the game on her own now.

I'm the girlfriend in question. I love it that my boyfriend is into Pokemon as much as I am, in fact, our mutual love of the franchise was one of the things that brought us together in the first place. I'm more into the anime than he is, but he knows way more about the games and all the generations I've skipped, so we have stuff to share. He was also very reluctant to try out Pokemon Go when it first came out, but ended up installing it recently to help me with a trade quest, and now he's more into it than I am. As for Sword&Shield, I'm indifferent since I don't have a Switch and won't get to play it most probably, but I like the atmosphere and all the new mons, and am pretty excited about Allister. Bf seems disappointed by recent revelations (not just the dex part), and is pretty vocal about being much more excited about the new Zelda games than S&S, but he loves Eldegoss, and so do I.
