Yes. It would build interest in lesser known franchises like Robopon and provide a permanant home for Digimon fans, who are forced to hop between /m/ /a/ and /v/ never knowing if their threads will be deleted without notice. It would also add variety to the board so we don't have threads like "use this online avatar maker and imagine you're designing a pokemon girl"

I have a theory that people who grew up during Pokemania but played other games are more receptive to other monster collecting games, while people who grew up when Pokemania had passed when everything but Pokemon was dead became viciously protective of Pokemon because they don't know any better.

So basically there are people who like Monster Collecting games, and people who like Pokemon as a brand and not necessarily a game

I honestly don't think it would. Even in the middle of """hype""" season most of the threads are shitposts or minor topics that are lucky to reach triple digit replies before dying. If you threw other franchises into the mix those threads would likely get completely eradicated by SMT/Persona, Dragon Quest, Yo-Kai Watch, Digimon, or other threads.
