>>39373573>>39373636The Hau animation isn't even bad. Like, yes, it's a recycled animation, but can someone please explain what about it is BAD? Like, it's smooth, expressive, gets the point across, and for the S/S version they even added animation for the face movements since NPCs now have full facerigs at all times rather than just having them in fancy cutscenes.
>>39373656The gym leader animations have all been on point so far, the important cutscenes also seem to have really good character animation. Also it seems even generic trainers have unique throwing animations along with their battle poses and whatnot.
The starters all have really expressive animations for their idles and attacks, so do most of the new pokemon they've shown. We haven't seen much of the campsite that will replace Amie/Refresh, but there's bound to be a bunch of great animations there as well (I don't have a gif or webm of pic related, but it's from the first trailer and Sobble getting happy and smiling is adorable).
Also, while people keep shitting on them, a lot of the battle effects are super vibrant and clean. They're also using a lot more dynamic camera shots to give more sense of action and diversity in the attacks.
>>39373677No one's saying there aren't bad animations. They still use the same "tween the pokemon around" thing a LOT to cut corners in a lot of attacks. But that doesn't mean the good ones don't exist and don't seriously outnumber the shitty ones so far.
