Every Pokemon release should have at the very LEAST 2000 hours of content.

Every Pokemon should be available.

Every REGION should be available.

Every feature should be available.

The games need to be harder. Fuck the difficulty setting, these games aren't for kids. Just make the games harder.

Each generation adds new powers, abilities, items, etc. that the players can use freely and the npc trainers will use very rately when at all, and even more rarely use it effectively. Held items, megas, z-moves, etc. Moreover, the games have long become "icebolt stab" "press A to win" fests. Every pokemon gets several variations of this attack, stab and coverage. There's no challenge in it as long as you have the type chart memorized. Hell you barely need to even do that anymore. Back in gen 1 the limited movepools made battles way more interesting and challenging then they are now. They should have pressed the series in that direction, making each pokemon have really weird and relatively small move pools, forcing people to be creative and think in their feet in battles instead of just spamming high end 90+ acc moves until you win, every battle, every time.

game freak insists on putting out a new game every year yet they're clearly not capable of doing that. if they had one framework that they worked with and they just released yearly expansion packs for that would probably be better than the 3d games we've gotten from them.
