I love tigers, fire-types, and having that as a starter was great. I think the hatred over 'personality' or 'gimmick' was overstated, you can focus on it being a ferocious asshole as its Pokedex entries say and you'd expect a tiger-mon to be. In spite of what many people want to admit it's probably the most similar to old-school starters we had in a while - it's angry-looking and has clear connections to its pre-evos in designs if it DID go on four legs I could see "just gets bigger" complaints. And yeah, the others are right, it was hilarious seeing it cuck Decidueye as "the next Greninja" and owlcucks melt down from a huge fanbase to a joke, and Primarina's supposed popularity dissapate as people turned out to like the cat. Smash saved it, undoubtedly, but even people who otherwise dislike it admit it grew on them via Smash.
Like most normie Incinefags I despise the endless bara and furry art, I just want cool art of it being badass, a big cat, and both. And I just posted this in the 'criticize your fave' thread, but design-wise it just needs its hands and feet to look like paws way more, or go on four legs in a not-stupid looking way so quadrupedfags and people hating its 'personality' can see it acts like a tiger after all. Double Blaze TCG art and that Factory jigsaw puzzle art may be a harbringer, thankfully, of that actually happening.
