Does gamefreak need the money to make a better game? Casual fans have already proven that they'll buy a main series pokemon game of any quality at this point.
FE on the other hand just came off of the lukewarm sales of Echoes in comparison to Fates. The artificial boost in resources that the gacha shit gave them has given birth to 3H. Is the difference developers who care? Or is it the amount of time between games?

If I were to be completely honest, I really do think the biggest thing holding GF back from making a good Pokemon game is this stringent yearly release schedule they've shoved themselves into as part of the Pokemon merchandising machine.
The only real solution I can see to this is to simply stop releasing third versions and remakes all together. Just focus on making the base experience good.

There's no winning move except to give up and go find another franchise, OP.
If you support Sword and Shield, you're telling GameFreak their lazy practices are acceptable and they'll continue to follow the warpath of less-than-minimal effort and cut content galore.
If you support Masters, you're telling The Pokemon Company that GameFreak is unnecessary, and they'll try to convince Nintendo and Creatures to pressure GameFreak into getting rid of their 33% Share so that Pokemon can become a mobile-only piece of shit that gets even greedier and still follows the way of GameFreak's less-than-minimal effort and content cutting.
