I think there's an honest attempt at a fresh and memorable experience being made here, with some growing pains that should have indicated the instigation of a period of significant growth. Unfortunately, it's been killed in the cradle by mismanagement, understaffing, and arrogance. That they're not bringing their best to the first Pokemon console game, regardless of how much they want to diversify their portfolio, is just... baffling.
On a subjective level, I really love a lot of the region we've seen, the new Pokemon and trainer designs are about 70% hits for me. Before Dexit, I myself was really quite excited. But every Pokemon has to be in a Pokemon game. Might buy it used, but they're sure as shit not getting my money when they've fucked up this badly and are throwing their already-stretched-thin dev team under the bus for what is clearly a management problem.
