>>39382489>>39382527Even if they didn't recreate the models from scratch (which has to be a complete lie, no way they actually did), they'd have to redo UV mapping. On the 3DS (which had 128x128 texture files with each model with some using multiples, if I'm not mistaken, it was either that or 256x256), the UV mapping was compressed and layered to make up for smaller textures. Now with more detailed textures, they'd have to redo UV mapping to prevent obvious texture seams and to cover the new texture. So it's a lot more work than just making new textures, they have to properly UV them too.
