It's like saying regular Pokemon should look like Pokken. They're entirely different games in terms of scope and development.
If you really want something like this, it sounds more like we need a Stadium 3 or a BR that isn't shit.

Everyone knows that's fucking PR bullshit they made up to throw blame for an executive decision onto their art team. The battle animations in S/S aren't fantastic, but they're still overall decent and took the transition to HD well enough considering everything else considering they're not the sole focus of the games. People are just holding them to a super high standard cause of Masuda's lie.

On one hand, it looks like the peripherals you use contain extra memory beyond just the arcade machine, likely all the extra animations. On the other, there's nothing stopping gamefreak from just porting the improved animations into the main games since they even use the same models. In fact, they ripped Zygarde Complete's transformation from pokemon Tretta, which featured it in this trailer before gen 7.
