Anyone wonder what the original plans for the origin of Pokemon were? I mean in the early days of the series, before Gen 3 where they sorta sidestepped it and went with the "haha the Pokemon world is a different world than ours here are its gods". In the early gens you had real world places in the Pokemon world, real animals alongside Pokemon, it was clearly intended to be very close to our world. They were gonna explore this in the original third movie, but that ended up falling through.

What do you think the origins for Pokemon have been had they kept to this original plan? You had hints of Pokemon being from space, but also prehistoric Pokemon.
