Comfy games have that feeling of calm contentment, sometimes from routine tasks, nostalgia or simply appealing surroundings. Games like Animal Crossing or Recettear (though some people may disagree on the latter) aren't particularly stressful, are rarely difficult but are still enjoyable for reasons that are hard to quantify other than 'comfy'.
The problem is that, like I said earlier, it's extremely subjective (possibly based on personal experiences and association etc) so some people find Animal Crossing boring, some people find Recettear too stressful and while I find Factorio satisfying I had to disagree with the people who said it was comfy. Similarly, when I said that Stalker and Metro were comfy at the camps my friends thought I was weird.
Basically, comfy isn't very helpful at describing a game but it's still a valid reason to like one.
