The rest of the Sinnoh league was still good. The fights with Conway, Nando, and especially Paul were great. The fight against the Darkrai and Latios had good moments. The Sinnoh League was never about winning the whole thing, the entire arc was about Ash beating Paul, which he did.

How does anybody even have one of those, I thought it was established in the anime that Kangaskhan are critically endangered, its illegal to capture them, you aren't even allowed in their habitat. Even if the Kangaskhan is descended from one captured before they were deemed endangered I highly doubt the league would allow it to battle.

Sinnoh league stings so much because it was great until Ubers nonsense. It was such a kick in the face and a bitter taste in my mouth. There are no steaks in this meme league but it is fun seeing all the side characters battle

They "established" that back when they took creative liberties and writers could throw out batshit ideas like Pikachu becoming a villain or that T-Rex mistake. Kangaskhan were never critically endangered in the games.

So yeah, the Alola League is the first League where the first rounds are 1v1 and that’s mainly because there are only like 4 trainers that have more than 2 Pokémon

In Johto and Hoenn's cases, those were both preliminary rounds. This is the actual proper tournament. All matches in the Johto and Hoenn final tournaments were 6-on-6 singles. This shows the difference between Alola and the other regions. The Alola League was made to be accessible and didn't force a skill requirement onto the contestants. The goal of the preliminary was to survive, not to win. It was meant to be enjoyed by a large group of people, not to showcase which character is the most skilled.
