I'd argue only their pre evolved forma have any kind of popularity thanks to Ash using them. And the rest of the Dex..well I guess they've got Scizor. And either Tyranitar or Aggron, I always forget which one is from Gen 2 and which one is from Gen 3, I always thought they were native to Hoenn because they look like counter parts but only one is from Johto
