except Miyamoto's games have released with content they meant to include but had to cut too

When Nintendo delays a game they're usually doing it so you don't get a mess that falls apart completely like Sonic 06, not to add more bells and whistles and more areas to explore

the shear dearth of content level over in Ocarina of Time that went unused should tell you this

Tropical Freeze brought DKC's visuals to new heights
Breath of the Wild might not have been to your taste but you can't deny it was anything but ambition
Odyssey returned to Mario 3D's roots and brought us the best mobility in the series
Even Three Houses seems like they went far beyond what was offered in the series before when it comes to customization and characters

Link's Awakening is the same old game in 3D
Kirby Star Allies is the 3DS game with worse framerate and level design. Worse boss battles too to be honest.
Yoshi's Crafted World is inferior in every way to the Wii U game.
Splatoon 2 is the epitome of shamelessly iterative sequel that Nintendoes would mock CoD for.

Not really, nobody seriously liked the watered down 3d World controllers. Real fans are hoping for the freedom of the Sunshine movement without Fludd, but Nintendo apparently doesn't trust players to be able to handle the burden of a wall-kick that actualy delivers a freedom of movement.
