Johto games are some of the easiest ones imo.All Pokemon games are easy, only one that actually challenged me was Ultra Necrozma ever and that was because i took the useless owl in first USUM run and had fish-only run in second run.

The only thing you have to grind for in Johto is Red. Also when players ask for difficulty in pokemon they want GF to give enemies full movesets, held items, etc like BW2's hardmode.

Also to add to this, most of the time if you're getting beaten by a boss in EO the problem isn't your level, it's your build or party makeup, and the game allows you to change both on the fly.

You're not supposed to grind in GSC, you're meant to be underleveled.
A lot of people decide to grind their ass off because they can't handle not one-shoting every single enemy, but that's not how the game was designed or how it was meant to be played.
