Bless you all, Hydreigon is my favorite Pokemon and I'm glad it has a thread here with a decent amount of replies.
>>39414112Awesome design. Honestly I'm kind of conflicted on Gigantamax. On one hand, it's bound to give Hydreigon something, and I've been waiting for the hydra to get a boost for a while now. On the other hand, I really wanted that boost to have been a Mega. Gen 8 should've been all about Mega evolutions again IMO, especially since Masuda said in an interview that they'd bring it back if it fit with the theme of the game, and Ohmori said in a Pokenchi episode that the theme of Gen 8 is going to be about "the strongest Pokemon". What better feature fits that theme then Megas, which if I recall is all about bringing out the potential of your Pokemon in these temporary "going further beyond" forms. Maybe Dynamax could still be a thing since according to the leak it's heavily tied to the third Legendary and the culture of Galar itself, but Giga's definitely should've been Megas.
