>>39407922This fits into my overall story, but essentially, the region is more dystopic than previous titles. The Champion rules the region with an iron fist, with a military presence replacing gyms.
>backstoryOne rival was raised in a very conformist household, and was raised on the Champion's propaganda. All his life, he's wanted to be the Military Captain. They finally trust him enough to go out in the world with you, his friend.
>PersonalityNaïve, but means well. However, his development depends on the route you choose. If you defy the Queen, he'll be forced to act more antagonistic with you, while if you obey the Queen, he'd be friendlier.
>Ace/PartnerHe'd use the stronger version of your starter.
>TeamThe stronger version of your starter
a German Shepherd Pokemon (Police)
Watchog (Big Brother's Always Watching type of thing)
Hypno (Represents his conditioning under the System)
Parasect (Both are being controlled by an external force, the parasite and the system)
Braviary (Patriotism)
Wooloo (The favorite among shills)
>Story involvementYou two are close friends, with him constantly talking to you about his goals of being the Military Captain. So, when you get your Pokemon, he sets about his goals. Progress in this story is set by how many towns you've been in (So you can go in any order you want, thus enabling more exploration and choice) but regardless, you'd see him observe more rebellions rising up, with him eventually helping out to shut them down. Eventually, it's revealed that your dad was the leader of the rebel movement, and that it's time to make a choice:
>join the rebels>join the queenIf you join the rebels, you'd end up having to fight him in a climatic, tragic battle. He loses, and gets executed for his failure by the Champion, motivating you to kick the Champion's arse even more.
If you join the Champion, you two will have to team up against the rebellion, eventually executing your father, and taking Champ's place.
