I already did a few years ago on my Wii U. Really frustrated they re-released it on the Switch with more content for full price because I feel screwed over. Oh yeah, same thing happened when I bought MK8, Captain Toad, and Tropical Freeze all on Wii U like the loyal fan I am when they first came out. Fuck Jewtendo for treating me like this.

Because I don't really care for Tekken-style combat. If Pokken were a more traditional 2D fighter, or just went full-on spectacle combat like most of the Dragon Ball games, then I'd be more interested.

Pisses me off they don't release one (1) more character to round out the CS screen, it triggers my autismo
The game's pretty damned good and Aegislash and Blastoise brought a lot of variety with their unique playstyles
Alas, I have a sneaking suspicion Pokken and every other non-mobile spinoff are dead forever because GF will veto any future project that would make their shit look bad

If Pokken was an RPG that involved going on an adventure and catching a team of Pokemon that I like, then I would love to pick up a copy.
But as it stands, only the mainline games give me the experience I want, and I'd rather have that experience be good.
